In the "phew, we’re legal!" department, we’re happy to announce that Perfect Flavor has been granted a trademark from the US Patent and Trademark Office. This means that we’ll be adding that cute little r-in-a-circle mark to our logos and so on. It may be a bit of a silly thing, but somehow it makes us proud.

Ahhh, summer at last.
We’re enjoying some hot summer days, perfect for ice cream and trips to the swimming hole. In celebration of summer, we are happy to announce new retails hours, starting June 16th. We’ll be open Monday through Saturday from 11am until 9pm. Stop by after work, or bring your kids after dinner… the cinnamon rolls are sweet and the ice cream is cold!

If you were one of the lucky few to get some of Perfect Flavor’s strawberry ice cream, or even some of the strawberry rhubarb sorbet, you know what a treat it is to have fresh, local, in season ingredients.
Well, if you didn’t get any, don’t despair. Sweet, delightful blueberries and raspberries are in season! Try a blueberry gelato, or even Lynsie’s heavenly raspberry viognet sorbet. Hurry, before these fruits are gone until next year.

Charlottesville’s C-Ville writes up Perfect Flavor’s recent appearance at Piedmont Environmental Council’s dinner at Tolliver House in Gordonsville.
We served some vanilla french custard to accompany a wonderful meal from Virginia’s local bounty.

Check out the story about us in this week’s C-Ville Weekly. Yes, we really do go the farm to get raw milk, and we pasteurize it and separate it the same day. All so we can make you the best damn ice cream anywhere!

Lynsie’s baking up more dessert and ice cream fabulousness!! Is that a word? Maybe not, but somehow it fits this latest creation.
Everyone loves smores in the summertime, but standing up Perfect Flavor smores against the kind you make in your back yard is like comparing a Lamborghini to the tricycle you rode when you were four years old.
Lysnie’s smores start with homemade graham cracker cookies. These are little wafers of graham-flour goodness, spritzed with just a hint of salt, and baked to a dark, rich golden brown. Then add in gooey, creamy, completely made-from-scratch vanilla-bean infused marshmallows. These things are like a visitation from the Divine, and they melt in your mouth. Top it all off with a thin layer of velvety, dark, rich chocolate ganache. Good gracious, need I say more???
Get some in our store in Waynesboro. And be on the lookout for Smore Ice Cream Sandwiches…

We’re happy to announce that Perfect Flavor has been accepted as a member of the Virginia Green program. It’s an encouraging development to see our Commonwealth beginning to recognize the value of companies that value the environment as much as they value making money.

We’re proud to announce our first cooking class - "How to make ice cream". We have a limited number of slots available, so email Lynsie and let her know if you’d like to attend. The price is $30, and you’ll not only learn how to make delicious, healthy ice cream, but you’ll also get to take home a pint of the flavor you make in the class. Lynsie plans to make one custard-based ice cream and one sorbet during the class, and you’ll also learn how to make homemade caramel sauce. Yummy!
